SHOUT! And be Heard

The Arizona Fraternal Order of Police and the Arizona Labor Council are working on two crucial issues. The first concerns our brothers and sisters at the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) and the Arizona Department of Corrections (DOC). Both departments are experiencing shortfalls in hiring and retention. This is leaving critical roles empty, overtime high, and morale low. Both departments are also dealing with the fact that a huge number of Tier 1 officers are eligible for retirement this year. This will leave an even bigger hole unless we can convince them to stay.

The second issue concerns our four-legged partners at these departments. Police K9s and Horses play a vital role in public safety. From public relations to officer safety, both help to provide an invaluable presence. However, as the population of Arizona increases, so have the number of assaults and killings of our four-legged protectors. Police K9s, don't think twice before rushing to take down a criminal. Yet, it has been one of the most challenging fights to get them extra protections. Our K9/horse bill raises the penalty for seriously injuring or killing our animal partners. By holding criminals accountable, we send the message that harming or killing them will not be tolerated. As part of our fight to represent our officers at the Capitol, email messages have been created that you can send to your legislators, asking them to support our bills. It takes less than a minute if you have not done it before, or just a few clicks of a button if you have done it in the past. Your voice matters! Your messages are being received and taken into account. Help us help you, our members. As a member-run organization, we count on our members to help spread the message that taking care of our officers should be priority number one. Please use the links below to share your voice! Together, we can make a difference for law enforcement in Arizona.

UPDATE: Due to changes with the budget and thanks to your support, the DPS and DOC Raise Campaign has been closed. Please help with our K9 bill by clicking below.
